Chelsea
Blossom
Lasagna, Rigatoni in Porcini Cream, and Cauliflower Risotto all sound pretty bad for you, right? Wrong. At this organic vegan eatery, these vegetable-packed dishes boast lean ingredients like tofu and seitan. Blossom delivers dinner daily and lunch Fridays-Sundays. $13 minimum.
Blossom, 187 9th Avenue (between 21st and 22nd streets); 212-627-1144.
Grand Sichuan
Hawking the best Chinese chow in the ‘hood, Grand Sichuan offers favorites like General Tso’s Chicken (you know, that general who was also a whiz with chicken). They’ll schlep this sweet, deep-fried poultry dish with a spicy kick in addition to other meals all around Chelsea during lunch and din. $10 minimum.
Grand Sichuan, 229 9th Avenue (between 24th and 25th streets); 212-620-5200.
Tipsy Parson
While they don’t deliver for dinner (take-out only), this Southern-style saloon will be delivering lunch Mondays-Fridays any day now. You’ll want to check out the crazy-good 8-oz burger, Catfish Po’Boy (spice-rubbed catfish filet, coleslaw, bibb lettuce, meyer lemon aioli) or ooey gooey Mac & Cheese with cornbread crumbs and bacon.
Tipsy Parson, 156 9th Avenue (between 19th and 20th streets); 212-620-4545.
Artichoke Pizza
This is quite possibly some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. Get the eponymous pie: artichoke hearts, cream sauce, spinach, and mozzarella and pecorino romano cheeses. $20 minimum.
Artichoke Pizza, 114 10th Avenue (between 17th and 18th streets); 212-792-9200.
Murray’s Bagels
Murray’s boasts 16 types of bagels, which it doesn’t toast because the bagels connoisseurs over there don’t believe in it (they’re big on bagel beliefs). Give them a shout and order an Organic Natural Grain, Spinach, or Marble Rye, or a delectable specialty sandwich or salad. They deliver all around Chelsea from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. $10 minimum.
Murray’s Bagels, 242 8th Avenue (between 22nd and 23rd streets); 646-638-1335.
