Fleury Rose, Nail Artist/Nail Art Blogger
Combine “professional nail artist” and “Fleury Rose,” and then prepare yourself for some serious artistry. Rose earned her credentials studying painting and illustration, but it wasn't until she moved to New York and started doing nail parties, that it all clicked. By chance, one of these parties led to the introduction of Chantal Savaresse, owner of Tomahawk Salon. Fast forward a bit, and today, Fleury hones her skills at Tomahawk, in addition to manicuring on set for magazines like Vogue, Teen Vogue, and Seventeen.
Hands down, best professional advice you ever got:
“Always take the job. Figure out the logistics later.”
What skill or habit do you think is vital for success?
“Always work on your business even when you don’t have jobs or a client. On my ‘days off,’ I work on my blog, website, or portfolio — even if it’s only for an hour.”
Who’s your working girl inspiration?
“Geena Davis, the valley-girl manicurist in Earth Girls Are Easy.”
