Patrick Robinson has been slowly upping Gap's cool quotient since he took the reins back in 2007, and now he's turning up the speed with the company's sponsorship of the Costume Insititute's Spring 2010 exhibition, American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity (plus the NYC version of the Oscars, The Met Ball, that goes with it). In celebration of this killer collab, Gap's releasing limited edition t-shirts on May 3 with designs inspired by the exhibition. If you can't score a ticket to the big night, this just may be the next best thing.
