From Gowanus to Park Slope, Astoria to Manhattan, NYC cats are officially having a moment thanks to the Tumblr, Felines of New York. The site, which is run by "a person who likes cats and lives in New York," promises that all kitties featured are in fact "real" — whatever that means.

The blog is inspired by Brandon Stanton's sensational Humans of New York, and since its February inception, nearly 50 cats have been featured alongside revelatory, interview-style quotes. And, unless this anonymous blogger is the Dory of cats, we'll take it these quotes are imagined — though they are adorably on point.
