Street style photographer and art-collective founder might not be the obvious second act for a Harvard-educated, NYC lawyer, but Felicia Gordon was never one to follow in anyone else's footsteps. Her sneaker-loving stride has taken her down a different path: taking a year off to study photography in Paris, interning at Vogue, and eventually founding Harlem-based Sugar Hill Culture Club to develop collaborative projects with friends and colleagues around the globe. From photography and writing to painting and designing a sweatshirt line worn by Rihanna, the collabs aim to reflect a refined, urban-inspired ethos with a dose of Parisian chic. And, she still finds time to consult as a lawyer, too.

With a background as fashion-, art-, and travel-packed as hers, we jumped at the chance to follow her through the most inspiring moments of her day. And, along the way, we got the scoop on how she curates an eclectic wardrobe and her signature "French-African by way of New Orleans" Harlem pad with essentials from T.J.Maxx. By the time you're halfway through, that weekend painting course you've been contemplating will start to sound like a really good idea.
