Our Fat Tuesday Pick: Central’s Mardi Gras Celebration

central-slide
It’s Mardi Gras! Stuck formatting Excel spreadsheets instead of frolicking in the French Quarter? Yeah, we feel you. Even if you’re not going to be tossing beads on Bourbon Street tonight, there’s still plenty of reasons to celebrate Fat Tuesday. (And yes, giving up chocolate for the next 40 days, trying Gwyneth’s latest detox diet, or just getting really excited for hump day totally count.)
Celebrate Mardi Gras tonight at Central Michel Richard, one of D.C.’s seriously hot Cajun spots. The venue is channeling the Big Easy with its annual "Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler" party (that’s "let the good times roll" for non-French speakers), featuring a jazz quartet, traditional NOLA cuisine, and hurricane cocktails. Oh, and how could we forget — there will, of course, be complimentary beads!
When: Today, 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Where: Central Michel Richard, 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue NW (at Cozine Avenue); 202-626-0015.
