A First Look at Acne's Fall/Winter 2009 Collection From Stockholm
This week, the Refinery team is reporting from Stockholm fashion week, bringing you highlights, collections, and exclusive interviews.
As a light dusting of snow started to come down, a crowd of Stockholm's chicest piled into a private hilltop house to take in Acne's fall/winter collection. With plenty of Champagne on hand, revelers could meander between soaring sculptures and creative director Jonny Johansson's latest delivery of minimal, slightly eclectic offerings. Our favorites were the pieces he crafted from furniture fabrics--plastic sofa coverings cut into lean leggings and a dense paisley fashioned into gorgeous skirts. Another highlight: The brilliant new collection of jewelry designed in collaboration with Michael Zoble. In keeping with their established formula, Johansson's offerings were no frills, but there were plenty of thrills.
