You shoot for a lot of different places. Do you change your subject matter for different clients?
“Yes, absolutely. For instance, obviously the readership of Vogue is a lot different from the readership of Glamour, and therefore you have to be quite specific with the demographic you're shooting, so for me I'm really mindful of that. And then for myself, I always shoot those girls I was telling you about before. While for me it's really about the picture, I am also really mindful of the demographic. A younger girl is not going to be super interested in someone dressed head-to-toe. Like Daphne Guinness is probably not appropriate for Glamour, as much I absolutely adore her!”
Do you have any secret spots that you're really into or any favorite shops or restaurants you want to let our readers in on?
“Well, I love Amacord in New York. Whenever I come here I go there and Barneys, and I love the Lower East Side —there are so many amazing stores there. I always eat in Il Cantinori, I love that place for when you want to get away from everything. But then I love Balthazar because it's a bit fancy and I like that. I love Marlow & Sons in Brooklyn, that's my favorite, I love it there. It changes every time!”
