Name: Laura Hollabaugh
Neighborhood: Noe Valley
How many years have you been styling and how did you get into it?
"I have been styling two and a half years. I assisted stylists in S.F., NYC, and L.A. for two years before that. I studied photography and graphic design and was working in a photo studio at a clothing company in San Francisco. After working with a few stylists on shoots there, I knew that’s what I wanted to do. I started building my portfolio by photographing, styling, and doing the makeup on mini shoots, which is so crazy to think about now. I kept getting offered jobs for styling and it progressed from there. Now I have an agent based out of New York who also books me."
What does a typical day look like for you?
"Some days I have breakfast and tea at home, shop, pull, and prep for a shoot that is going to happen later in the week. Other days I am up at 5 a.m., heading to a location shoot for a 12-hour day. Sometimes I am in the studio from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. styling product for e- commerce sites. Then, other days I am networking, finding inspiration, and meeting with photographers about future collaborations."
