Prizefighter photo by Christine Ting.

Think Emeryville houses nothing more than Pixar and IKEA? Guess again, folks. There’s a new hotspot raising the bar in this burgeoning East Bay ‘hood. Enter, Prizefighter. The week-old watering hole is bringing its boxing-themed revamp to the old Kitty’s location. Jon Santer of Bourbon & Branch and Beretta fame and Dylan O’Brien of Churchill and Bloodhound are the guys to thank for this much buzzed-about space — which features a heap of cocktail connoisseurs (talent from Flora, Prospect, Absinthe, and more). With premium drinks (plus punch bowls galore), shuffleboard, a dimly-lit interior, and a cuter-than-cute, plant-laden patio, Prizefighter promises to be the East Bay’s latest libation-haven. Stumped on what to sport on your first outing? We’ve gathered five pieces that are oh-so-right for this East Bay booze spot. Game on!

Prizefighter, 6702 Hollis Street (at 67th Street), Emeryville; No phone.
