Where are you favorite places to shop in Tinseltown?
"Opening Ceremony, The Santa Monica Vintage Expo, American Rag, Squaresville, General Store on Lincoln, 45three Home, TenOverSix, the Cabazon Outlets (um, that Prada will be behind my personal pearly gates), and sample sales galore! I can honestly say that I haven't paid full price for an item in years. I believe in bargains with all my sartorial soul!"
Where do you go in L.A. when you're not working?
"My fiancé lives in Malibu, so we take any chance we can to hit the highway and hang in our comfiest clothes and cozy up on his outdoor couch (he lives on what we've dubbed 'the poor man's side of PCH'). We take delight in the traffic-dweller people-watching — and sort of get a kick that we're not sitting in it for once! The keep-loose vibe is such a welcome change wardrobe-wise when you've got to get gussied up the rest of the week! I'm a girl who wholly embraces the yin and the yang, so it's no shock that when not in the 'bu, I love to roam DTLA, too. Every time I scoot on down the 10 East, something new and neato has popped up. I think I may have been a florist in a past life because I can easily spend an entire morning roaming the Flower District, concocting odd arrangements in my head. And, the James Irvine Japanese Garden in Little Tokyo, called the Seiryu-en (Garden of the Clear Stream), is this bizarre, crazy-kept nook of serenity that you must walk through kooky office spaces to reach. It's dope to go there and draw; I really feel like an artiste who's traveled all the way to Kyoto to get my bonsai fix!"
