Remember When $100,000 Was A Lot? Bloggers Get Paid Even More Now

When Bryan Boy announced that he was making $100,000 a year, just from fashion blogging in 2010, his fans and followers responded in awe and disbelief. Today, WWD reports, $100,000 might actually be chump change for the industry's top fashion bloggers, with the biggest names drawing in nearly $50,000 per partnership (even if they run only for the duration Fashion Week).
Beyond that, hosting events can range from $5,000 to $20,000, styling jobs can pay around $5,000 (as was the case of Kelly Framel for BCBG Max Azria), not to mention the payment received for pushing products on blogs as well as actual advertising. Adding all that revenue up (without even factoring in free products and other unrelated for-profit gigs like modeling and TV hosting), a popular blogger's yearly salary can easily reach $500,000. That's a lot of Litas. (WWD)
