Where do you shop for work clothing?
"My firm has a relatively casual dress code compared to other Wall Street institutions, and my product group definitely tolerates edgier outfits because of the interest in retail companies. As a result, I always try to buy pieces that I can wear outside of the office. I especially stick to this rule for tops and sweaters. I am a loyal rag & bone shopper and buy a lot of their blazers, sweaters, and tops. I also have found some good skirts and shirts at comptoirs de cotonniers, particularly for fall and winter. For exclusively corporate staples (such as slacks), I always buy Theory. For pencil skirts and cardigans I like Club Monaco."
What do you always keep in your work bag?
"Flip-flops, lip gloss with a little color, blush, under-eye makeup (I don’t get a lot of sleep in this job!), and a phone charger (I can’t have a dead work phone if I leave the office). I also have a collection of reserve shoes underneath my desk to lighten my work bag load."
