What To Wear To Outside Lands Without Looking Like A Hippie
San Francisco’s biggest music event, the 3-day Outside Lands extravaganza, is finally upon us. And by now, you’ve already made the decision on whether or not to shell out on tickets to see over 72 top-notch bands (Arctic Monkeys, the Decemberists, MGMT, and Best Coast included!) while chowing down on grub from some of the best vendors in town. But the bigger question still remains: What on earth are you going to wear? Well, for one thing, it ain’t Coachella, kids. In fact, it's looking like a high in the early ‘60s all three days. So, the traditional festival wear of denim cut-offs and a flimsy tank are pretty much out of the question. Instead, cast your eyes on our fool-proof suggestions below, that are not only practical, but super-stylish and void of any hippie-dippy Burning Man references. Because, let’s face it, there will be plenty of that at going on, anyway. Get to shopping, and we’ll see you in the park!

Yes, there are some subtle (haute) hippie references in this look, but the modern touches of a wide-brimmed fedora, bright coral nail polish, and a slouchy-yet-structured carryall (in which to stash your sweater and sunscreen) give it an instant upgrade.
