Where are your bracelets from?
"Miansai cuff from Bird in Brooklyn
$10 Casio from one of those weird wholesale stores on the stretch of Broadway between 20th and 30th streets
Tricolor bracelet from a shuttered Colombian store in Soho
Purple bracelet from Babel Fair
Multi-colored friendship bracelet was a birthday gift from a friend—he gave my sister and boyfriend the exact same for their b-days.
The white bracelet is from Madewell."

Any great stories behind them?
"The Miansai cuff is my absolute favorite accessory in the world—I wear it every day. It's originally a men's piece and is basically a fancy handcuff, fastening with a screwpost. I consider my tattoo an accessory: It's a little owl perched on a branch. I got it six years ago and it bears no special significance. The owl is actually a good friend's elementary school mascot. Let's say it was a youthful gesture."

Tricks or tips for layering?
"I like a good chaotic armful. I think the key however is to make sure they are pretty snug on your wrist, so they aren't all overlapping and piling up on top of one another."
