1 cup sugar
3 cups water
2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
1 bottle champagne
1 sliced lemon, for garnish
Bust out your old-school hand juicer and squeeze some lemons.
In a pitcher, mix up sugar, water, and lemon juice until the sugar is dissolved. Feel free to add sugar slowly, tasting as you go to get your preferred sweetness level. (But do err on the sweeter side – the champagne will balance it out.)
Before you do anything else, taste a glass of your fresh squeezed lemonade. Worth it, right?
