Ladies Who Lunch (In Ferragamo): Nina Garcia Shows Off Her Spots

At Wednesday's Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center 4th Annual Associates Luncheon, the cause was just and the style was sensational. With Salvatore Ferragamo's spring '12 collection providing a backdrop of colorful animal-print fashions, attendees toasted soliders in the fight against cancer while flaunting their Ferragamo (and maybe had a glass of wine or

Party Pics! The Hottest Housewarming Party We've Attended Yet
We're bringing back the house party. And the first order of business: a kickass location. Nowhere in L.A. will you find an apartment building with more lore than Hancock Park's El Royale tower. This indie abode has housed some of Hollywood's most sought-after creatives — Mae West, Clark Gable, Uma Thurman, and Cameron Diaz have all called the Spanish castle home at one point or another. And stories of ghosts and scandals abound: An oil heiress once left the building in nothing but her panties and a feather boa, while another gutsy tenant was evicted for running a gambling ring out of the garage.
When our very own Patrick Yee was given the keys to this haute high-rise, moving back in with his college pal, Wren designer Melissa Coker, we knew it was time to plan a good old house party. Spectacular views and ultra-glam art set the bewitching backdrops for an unforgettable evening of great convos and even better friends. Obviously, we snapped pics galore, so indulge your inner voyeur and take a gander at the good times had by all, in one of the most exceptional edifices in town.

Throw A Super Bowl Soirée In No Time, On A Dime
If you're hosting a Super Bowl party this year, a few things are guaranteed: People are going to get hungry, thirsty, and loud—and not necessarily in that order. The best way to stay ahead of the game? Serve simple, pre-made dishes that don't break the bank, have someone else bring a dessert or side, and make sure to tell 'em all it's BYOB.
For your part, you can't go wrong with chili and rice. There's a reason why that's such a go-to for events like these: no service! Just provide the ladle and some garnishes, and guests can dish it out themselves. These treats are tops for a gaggle of famished sports fans with any kind of palate, and when homemade ice cream sandwiches are involved, everyone scores.

Alexa Chung Parties Inside A Giant Chanel Bag In Vegas
Sin City got a taste of couture this past weekend with the kick-off of the 10-day installation at the Wynn honoring Coco Chanel's legacy. Numéros Privés, A Journey Through The World Of CHANEL, has set up a temporary home in the Las Vegas hotel for the remainder of the week, but the opening party was, no doubt, the chicest guest-list the town has ever seen (sorry JWoww, Carmen Electra, second-tier character in Glee). Gorgeous girls kitted-out in Chanel attire and jewelry —think the likes of Gia Coppola, Diane Kruger, Rachel Zoe, Dree Hemingway, and Poppy Delevigne— did le boogie to Imelda May's live performance, before grinding down those double-C heels to the beats of Alexa Chung.
Between sipping bubbles, the crowd also previewed the super-haute exhibit that celebrates the House's most prized and iconic fashion contributions and history. Compiled from 10 spaces, the installation features a recreation of Gabrielle Chanel's own Rue Cambon apartment, a children's bedroom filled with Karl Lagerfeld-designed dolls, and a futuristic air-lock chamber that's actually a giant 2.55 bag. Clearly, Chanel's motto is go big or go home. Case and point: Just a few days post-party, the Kaiser wowed us again with the brand's couture presentation.... on an airplane, crafted inside the Grand Palais, complete with impeccably dressed stewardesses and steered by Kaptain Karl (check the whole slew of crazy twitpics here).
While the the party is way past over, relive a few moments of the Las Vegas night that we can show you — everything else stays inParis Vegas, remember?

Party Pics From Thom Browne & Dewars' Chi-Town Launch
Novice imbibers take note: 12-year-old scotch is a good thing. It's even better when the gift-ready bag you're toting it in was designed by Thom Browne. If you're feeling a little timid about boozy gift-giving, don't be. Just think how happy you'd be to add a new bottle to the impressive little home bar you're building. See? All better.
You can find Dewar's, and a complimentary Browne Bag to gift it in, at any of the Lush Wine & Spirits locations in Chicago, but call ahead and make sure they've still got the Browne Bag in stock. So much more chic than sticking a garish red ribbon on the bottle, no? Click through for photos from Thom Browne's visit to Chicago to launch the Browne Bag at the PUBLIC hotel and mingle with our fair city.

What The Croc Happened At The Mulberry Party Last Night?
Mulberry jumped over to our side of the pond for a mega bash at the Chateau Marmont last night—all the way to the Pacific. Responsible for the most covetable handbags and impeccable street wear by-way-of-the-UK, Creative Director Emma Hill hosted a swanky soirée with a special performance by musical guest (and one of our own recent obsessions) Lana del Rey. In true ooh-la-la Mulberry fashion, fashion Anglophiles partied down among animal balloons, ginormous ice cream cones, and floating crocodiles that took a dip in the hotel pool. Style stars British and Yankee alike, including Kate Bosworth, Juno Temple, Louise Roe, Jamie King, Harley Viera Newton, and Gia Coppola, decked to the nines in Mulberry floaty frocks, dined al fresco around the toy filled pool. The night continued at Bungalow One to dance to DJ Twin Shadow's beats, before the ladies had to brave it back to America, albeit with a goody bag filled with bikinis, satchels, sandals, and hopefully a blow-up crocodile.

SJP? Claire Danes? Daphne Guinness? Who Was The Chicest Valentini Last Night?
It's no surprise that Valentino brings the mega-babes, and at last night's launch of Mr. Garavani's Valentino Virtual Museum, his roster of supporters was more jam-packed with well-dressed celebs than even we would give him credit for—what with the torrential downpour and all. While the focus of the evening was on his new downloadable archive, with those signature sewn-on flowers, beaded embellishments, and, yes, crimson, sideways glances at gowns and minis never stopped. No surprise: SJP and Izabel Goulart top the list of mentionables, and Olivia Palermo rocked it out with a sequined black-n-tan combo we would love to outfit repeat. One mild shocker? Courtney Love pulled herself together and looked (mostly) fresh-faced in a LBD. We're kind of stuck on this one, though, so you tell us: who was virtually the best?

Ivy League Party! Yale Offers A Class On NYC Nightlife, Music, & DJs

On Saturday night, two vodka sodas in, the socioeconomic or historic significance of why we'll likely wake up with a slight hangover is not exactly top of mind. But the students at Yale are not on the same page as you. Ivy Leagers at the New Haven campus can now add "Dance Music and Nightlife Culture in New York City" to their class load, and yes, that includes on-site field trips. We know, a course on NYC nightlife and dance jams sounds, well
Anna Wintour's Upgraded Uniform: Sequined Chanel

If there's one thing Anna Wintour really loves, it's Chanel, and at last night's MOMA's Film Benefit, paying tribute to renowned filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, she wore her heart on her sleeve. Well, she wore it on her legs, too, upgrading her typical Chanel ensemble for something a bit merrier— a Chanel ensemble with a bit of shine (and really, what's better than that?). Still looking as classy and classic as ever, Anna's two-piece was sparklier than usual (are those sequins? is that beading? metallics?), and we l-o-v-e it. Fearful that she's straying too far from home? Just check out the bob, the statement necklace, and the kitten heels. Tell us what you think of Anna's shimmering look and stay tuned for a fierce Chanel fashion face-off tomorrow morning!
