My Style: It Jeweler Sara Beltran's Beachy-Chic Chelsea Crib
When you hear "beachy chic," your mind probably drifts westward to some Pacific bungalow where sun-kissed girls hang ten and sip drinks out of coconuts. But that's only because you've never met local jewelry designer Sara Beltran, the creative genius behind Dezso (or "desire" in Latin). Desire indeed. The line (an instant obsession of glossy editors and Barneys' buyers) consists of simple, well-made bracelets, necklaces, and earrings that channel her love of the ocean, her Mexican upbringing, and Jaipur, India, where she just opened up a design studio. In a time when jewelry can feel limited to large impact pieces, Beltran's spare collection stands out, an aesthetic that translates to her home life as well. We visited her Chelsea casa and discovered a total oasis of calm away from the overzealous galleristas below — rustic and earthy, clean and subtly sophisticated, this crib is one chic getaway. Of course, we didn't leave without some snaps of Beltran's personal style, too. You can bet her ensembles are as cleverly understated as her line, even though she rocks a Birkin on the reg. We just hope it doesn't get sandy.

1 Girl, 4 Looks: Meet Your New Favorite L.A. Blogger!
There's a gorgeous new blogger in town, and we'd like the pleasure of e-introducing you. Readers, please meet Marie Hindkær Wolthers, the leggy, blonde, 28-year-old Danish muse behind Blame It On Fashion (insert strong handshake and virtual smile here). This spontaneous style maven recently packed up her belongings, got hitched in Vegas, and jumped on a plane to L.A., where she's now snapping shots of herself to share with the world—and finding her fashion path in the City of Angels. The fabulous expat and former fashion editor gave us the inside scoop on current Copenhagen style and her ever-so-cool go-to Euro shopping sites (don't worry, there's U.S. access), plus, of course, she modeled some sweet wares straight from her unpacked luggage. Now, let's make this foreign fashion force feel right at home here—we hear she's in the market for some new gal pals!

Peep A Revenge Star's Uh-mazing Style (And Hancock Park House)!
The water cooler convos here at R29 always seem to center around our obsession with ABC's Revenge—we're absolutely, completely consumed with the soapy drama! Be-warned: One episode and you'll be hooked. Watching the premiere, we couldn't help developing another addiction. Specifically Victoria's It Brit minion Ashley, who looked so downright dope (not a bandage dress in sight) that we did some Amanda Clarke Emily Thorne-style digging. Turns out, the part was actually created for ingenue Ashley Madekwe, who not only has acting chops to spare, but is a bonafide fashion blogger, too! So, you can imagine our delight when she invited us in for a Sunday shoot at her historic Hancock Park apartment (fun fact: the show is actually filmed in Manhattan Beach, and Ash has never even seen the Hamptons, ha!), where the self-proclaimed "fashion magpie" put together four bookmark-worthy outfits. After peeping our exclusive, you'll be scheming harder than Tyler to copy Ashley's signature style.
Inside Designer Minnie Mortimer's Brentwood Palace
Upon entering Minnie Mortimer's sunny, Brentwood abode, it's instantly apparent that apart from her teensy frame, her name doesn't do her justice—this girl has GIANT style! The surfer-slash-designer's pad, which she shares with husband Stephen Gaghan, the Oscar-winning screenwriter behind Traffic, exudes that unique brand of Cali cool only achieved with quick wit—and the ability to wear many aesthetic hats at once. A former stylist and photog for the glossies, Minnie's casually cool, eponymous ready-to-wear line has been going gangbusters, but she still manages to find time to expertly curate thousands of square feet of pure home envy—all while being a supermom to her two-year-old daughter Tuesday and pup, Fuzzy Duck.
The perfect mélange of East-meets-West coast chic (Minnie used to be an NYC girl), every nook and cranny of her style identity piqued our interest. She's one of those women that makes a ten minute conversation impossible; you need to linger to learn more, and indeed, one cup of café quickly turned into three! After our marathon chat, we had to share this gal about town's wide-ranging wisdom, which runs the gamut from swanky surf spots to the ultimate Oscar-night attire. Warning, after a serious caffeine buzz, that humongous closet is really easy to get lost in.

NYC's Coolest 4some Shows Us How To Throw A Tasteful Rager
We've thrown a swanked-up dinner party. We've hosted an incredibly intimate cocktail get-together. Now, in part three of our holiday entertaining series, we're going out with a bang — or, rather a bangin' rager. And who better to swipe large-scale event tips from than the four of the most popular kids in town? Enter, Elle.com Editorial Director Keith Pollock, Wren founder-designer Melissa Coker, Steven Alan's head of visuals/merchadising John Guidi, and photographer Thomas Whiteside. The minute the FB invitation to their seasonal blowout pinged our inbox, we knew we had to get this foursome to let us in on their set-up secrets. We stopped by Pollock's East Village apartment the night before the shindig, to snap the process — and snag the quad's tips (quotes below are from Keith and Melissa) — after all, it's not every Saturday-night house party that manages to stay tasteful. Seriously, with an outdoor tent (!), hurricane candles, festive lights, Momofuku cake balls, and a rose punch, this rave was all rad, no bad.

Small-Space Entertaining: Our Guide To Throwing A Tiny (Perfect) Party
We've already established that good things can come in small packages. Bigger isn't always better. And quality is way better than quantity. The point we're making? Our senior editor, Kristian Laliberte, lives in a 247-square-foot East Village studio apartment, and he wanted to throw a holiday party. Enter part two of our seasonal entertaining series: how to be a top host-with-the-most in a tiny space. We shot a blow-by-blow of the getting-ready process, from mixing a Christmas-colored statement drink to finding floral arrangements that are are more cheerful and less overwhelming. The result is a very (very) intimate get-together that's short on square-footage, but high in style. We'd have sent you an invite, but, well, you'll see...
Inside The Whimsical World Of Star Stylist Shirley Kurata
Los Angeles is full of insanely creative people, to be sure, but allow us this modest claim: stylist Shirley Kurata is in a league of her own. Lending her creative flair to Rodarte’s always-fresh runway styling, Peter Jensen lookbooks, and countless editorials featuring the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Miranda July, The Decemberists, Devendra Banhart, Beck, and the list goes on, Shirley’s individuality and undeniable spirit is palpable upon first-meet.
Her personal style is inspiring: untamed and colorful, feminine, and oh-so-retro, and her Los Feliz home is much the same. Glowing with natural light—so much so that Kurata rarely sleeps in—and fit to burst with photography and art books (they’re color-coded!), old records, funky wooden details, and sunny yellows and oranges, the '60s-era mid-century modern home is reminiscent of old-school Southern California living. Once a film and television costumer, her influences are varied, and boy, do her digs show it. If you're in the mood for some eye candy, just click through to take a look into the whimsical and wonderful world of Shirley Kurata. Trust, it does not disappoint.
My Style, Power Couple Edition: Maria Ponce & Trey Berre
We know you love a good peek into Chicago's most stylin' homes, but this month we have our eye on a two-fer. Enter Maria Ponce and Trey Berre, who may have had the busiest year ever. In addition to racking up professional projects that include major photo shoots and a killer line of men's accessories, this Chi-town power couple happened to get, you know, married. But that wasn't the only merger we were interested in—their shared space is the perfect example of how two different (but totally complementary) aesthetics come together to create something stunning.
