Whew! What with the election, the inauguration, and all that jazz, maybe it's time to reboot and look ahead to the news stories we'll be reading for the rest of 2009. Arianna Huffington, Erica Jong, and other contributors of the Huffington Post will break it down tonight at the 92nd Street Y. The Huffington Post in Residence: The Year Ahead with Arianna Huffington and the HuffPo Bloggers at the 92nd Street Y.
Here's your last chance to see Animal Collective and hear live songs off their new album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, before they head out on tour. Animal Collective at Bowery Ballroom.
In Of Time and The City, director Terence Davies uses glorious black-and-white archival footage, classic Mersey-soul tracks, and quotations from Joyce, Eliot, and others to bring to life the atmosphere and heartbeat of metropolitan life from another age. Of Time and The City at Film Forum.
