Monday Events: Fashion Duel, Heavy Metal Karaoke, Schizoid Music, Paul Muldoon, and the Sex Lives of Animals...
The fine people over at LVHRD present the 5th edition of FSHNDL (that stands for fashion duel, duh). Two teams of designers have 60 minutes to create an outfit out of a surprise material - theme is "end of the world" - should be intereeeesting. Location disclosed once you buy a ticket. LVRD presents FSHNDL.Um. Punk Rock Heavy Metal Karaoke. Need we say more? It's ok, you don't have to tell your friends, but we know you want to go. See you there. Karaoke at Santos Party House.
Honestly, we're kind of curious to find out what the hell 21st Century Schizoid Music with String Messengers + Oteri, is all about. We heard something about 205 tones per octave and instruments no one ever knew existed. Interrresting. Schizoid Music: Tonally Perplexed at Cornelia Street Cafe.
Poets Paul Muldoon and James Richardson make us feel terribly inarticulate and completely unimaginative when they bare their souls and read from their latest work. Muldoon and Richardson at KGB Bar.
We're not really sure we want to know about bears making love but… in case you do, the Museum of Sex is showing The Sex Lives of Animals—five life-size sculptures by Rune Olsen, examining various aspects of "animal lust." Sorry, did someone actually say animal lust? Hmm. The Sex Lives of Animals at The Museum of Sex.
