Debate Night in America: Barack Rock at the Music Hall of Williamsburg

rock1006.jpgAre you still hungover from the Vice Presidental Debate drinking game? Well, here's a little hair of the dog that bit ya. Tomorrow, during the second Presidential Debate, the Music Hall of Williamsburg will be hosting "Barack Rock," an event billed as "an evening of comedy, music, and action." Office faves Fiery Furnaces, Andrew Bird, Eugene Mirman, Lizz Winstead, and others will be jamming and joking while the debate is screened in the "Obama Room" downstairs. With proceeds going to the Obama campaign, two extra-special super surprise bands scheduled to appear, and $3 drinks, it's time to stand up for what you believe in (that is, booze and tunes). In the interest of political fairness and journalistic ethics, we tried to find a local McCain debate event of equal quality and coolness, but…ah…yeah, you know.

Barack Rock, $40, October 7, 6:30 pm at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, 66 North 6th Street, Brookyn, 718-486-5400; www.musichallofwilliamsburg.com. For more information go to www.myspace.com/barackrocktoctober7th
