Rainbow Bright: Ermie’s New Collection Is A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Color us predictable, but we always flip out over an eye-catching outfit, especially in the warmer months. And while we do love us some color-blocking as much as the next gal, there's something so special about a poppy print. So, you'll certainly find no surprise in learning that we are big-time fans of L.A.-based designer Jennifer Parry Dodge's technicolor threads. Her latest collection for Ermie (named for her sweet aunt Ermengarde who encouraged her creative pursuits) boasts a kaleidoscopic array of fantastical prints on gorgeous silk-crêpe garments. To add to the straight-up awesomeness, the lookbook also features whimsical, crafty jewelry by Ancient Pocket, and seriously covetable bags (think swoon-worthy shades of crochet) by another super-skilled L.A. lady, Cheryl Cambras.
Inspired by the City of Angels, Dodge's creations are evocative of our sunny skies, beachside sunsets (one piece is called The Light of California dress), and vibrant culture. By manipulating images and scans in Photoshop, Ermie's patterns and textiles are as unique as they are lovely to look at. Major bonus? Everything's breezy and super wearable — the type of ethereal yet down-to-earth items you'll want to sport at every low-key gathering and special occasion you attend. In addition to a newly launched e-shop (hip hip!), Ermie can be found at local purveyor of cool Myrtle. Click through to soak up all the color-drenched goodness.
