Erica Camille is a destination-wedding photographer and travel blogger based in New York City and Thailand, specializing in LGBT weddings.
The Liberty House in Jersey City is one of my favorite venues in the New York City area, so I’m always excited when I get to photograph a couple who’ve chosen it for their wedding reception. Roxana and Jesse started their celebratory day at the gorgeous Mondrian SoHo in Manhattan which provided amazing city views and served as an ideal location for getting ready and for taking portrait shots.

Roxana has an Korean-Persian family background, so she incorporated some Korean wedding traditions including jujubes (Korean dates) and throwing chestnuts at the bride, who then has to catch them with her wedding dress. It was a unique and festive part of the celebration.

Thank you to my second shooter Lena Shkoda; a few of her images are included in this post.
