How Do These MK & Ashley Olsen-Designed Sneakers Make You Feel?

All sneakers are not created equal. Though the comfy shoes have recently won favor with the fashion set, anyone who's toyed with the idea of wearing a pair out of the gym knows that there's a marked difference between gym shoes, canvas slip-ons, basketball-inspired kicks, and, say, bowling shoes.
Elizabeth & James' new shoewear collection for resort '13 forces us to look at a patchworked, lo-pro style that's part-bowling shoe and part-Saucony doppelgänger and try to envision them on ourselves (instead of, you know, a member of a ska band circa 2002), since they do run counter to most design elements we usually look for in an everyday sneaker (understated colorways and a slim or puffy shape — never a middle-ground shape). The blood-orange on navy on baby blue all feel a bit much for us (not to mention, the treaded toe and elevated foam sole), but if there's anything we know about the Olsen sisters, it's that they know fashion. But what do you say? Will you be scooping these up at Bergdorf Goodman for $275, early next year? (WWD)
