While Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are constantly lauded for their upscale line The Row ($39,000 backpack included), the collection's lower-priced, more casual sibling deserves some attention as well. Elizabeth And James seems to constantly embody that laid-back, effortless brand of cool the Olsens are constantly exuding, and the spring '13 duds are keeping the trend alive.

The theme of the day was buttoned-up comfort — the designers sent loose-cut suit after loose-cut suit down the runway, in monochromatic shades ranging from crisp white to a shiny eggplant to upscale brocade. Each piece had an earthy feel, whether it was a bronze le smoking jacket, or jewel-blue trousers. Taking comfort full-circle, models wore flat slip-on sandals, giving some outfits the feel of pajama-chic. If only our slumber parties looked this good.
