I've been laid up with the flu the past few days, and flipping around I found that great documentary about Robert Evans, The Kid Stays In the Picture. Evans' signature '70s glasses always remind me of Pierre Cardin, the master of space-age designs and unisex clothing. But beyond formal gowns and silk patterned ties, Cardin also designed everything from address books to backgammon sets. I would love to see someone reissue some of his greatest innovations, which really just revolved around extra-cool objects and clothing for everyday. In honor of fashion's favorite octogenarian, here are a few of his oldies but goodies.
