If, like us, you've been doing a lot of complaining about the mountains of gift shopping you need to do, but have done very little in the way of actually buying stuff, we might just have a solution. And it doesn't involve setting foot on Oxford Street.
If you like your festive gifts with only the slightest hint of hipster, we strongly recommend that you head to the East London Design Show (or ELDS, if you want to save yourself some time) this weekend. Because a bevy of the U.K.'s most exciting creative types have gathered in Shoreditch Town Hall — where else? — to sell their wares.

The annual event spans textiles, art, stationery, furniture, ceramics, accessories and jewellery, all handily located under one roof.
We'll be heading straight for Lauren Baker's skull art (pictured) because nothing says hipster Christmas quite like an embellished reindeer skull.
