Rad Or Bad: The Double-Bagging Trend

You're probably a pro at double bagging (in the non-grocery sense) already, though carrying your lunch in a canvas sack, your sneakers in your ratty gym bag, or your travel essentials in a duffel is probably more out of necessity than a styling trick. But, the new, polished trend of layering bags allows you to comfortably carry all your gear without overstuffing your bag — while looking extra cute in the process.
For the look to seem purposeful and not haphazard, make sure you're pairing the bags together correctly: Think about them as shirts and pants. Would you wear a leopard shirt with cherry-red pants? (Yes). Would you wear a beaded top with leather shorts? (Yes). Would you wear a structured, neon sweatshirt with a lace peasant skirt? (Probably not).
This trick will help you more successfully match up bags. Just make sure that you're actually in need of (and able to manage) your two bags of choice — no matter how cute two clutches might look together, you're still going to feel like a doofus double fisting them at the club. Click through to see how two of our favorite ladies rocked the look, and a few options to get you playing matchmaker with your own purses.
