First, we had Savannah collect a few things — a towel and tee that she wouldn't care about getting dirty and about 45 minutes of free time. After combing out her dry hair and coating her face and hairline with a water-resistant cream and donning the gloves from the package, we had her carefully, slowly add the colorant to the developer in her John Frieda bottle.
