This Is Our Jam: Diamond Rings, “I’m Just Me” (Yelle Remix)

In anticipation of its sophomore album, Free Dimensional, Diamond Rings (aka Canadian glam-pop artist John O'Regan), is dropping a remix EP for its high-energy first single, “I’m Just Me.” French electro-pop artist Yelle’s rework of the track dials down the maximal synths of producer Damian Taylor (Bjork, Robyn, Prodigy, Austra) and replaces them with a pulsating house beat. The result is a darker, more vocal-heavy take on the song that reminds us of Trent Reznor at his danciest moments.
