Tell us about some of these cool knickknacks on and around your desk. Any funny or memorable stories behind them?
"When I was in Barcelona a few years ago, I found these original sketches by Cristóbal Balenciaga from the '50s and '60s. I couldn't believe it — I just saw this old man who used to work for Balenciaga, selling them at a flea market. He had a little story to tell about each sketch and how they turned into the final garments."

What do you think are the most important elements when building a balanced workspace?
"I think it's important to incorporate some strong design elements, which can make a space creatively inspirational, but keep it spatially calm and light. Simplicity and functionality are key."
