We were so stoked when we received an email from Y-3 informing us about the 80% off sale happening at the Design District location. But then, we read the shopping event’s official title: Closeout Sale. Uh oh. Is Yohji Yamamoto’s first Miami outpost closing?
At first, we just thought it was a regular end-of-season sale since the Lincoln Road store had a similar event last week. But after talking to an associate at the Miami Beach location, we found out that the Design District shop is, indeed, shutting its doors on January 22. Heartbreak.
When we asked our insider if the closing had anything to do with the soon-to-be-open Aventura Mall storefront, she giggled and responded, “No, they have nothing to do with each other.” While, we won’t laugh at a store closing, we will smile at discounted athletic gear.
When: Tuesday, January 17 through Saturday, January 21.
