The saying goes, "Why mess with a good thing?" But with the new MAC & Marcel Wanders collection, we definitely approve of Dutch product designer Marcel Wanders messing with MAC. Launching November 24, the gorgeous line seems to fall under function-follows-form due the shapely, smooth design of the lip glosses, lipsticks, and signature makeup brush and the angular, sci-fi packaging of the Sheer Mystery Powder and Air of Style solid perfume pendant—all encased in lacquered black. To be fair, the line houses MAC's always awesome products, so we accept that the form or function question is still up for debate, especially since Wanders picked shades inspired by the 17th-century painter, Vermeer. Either way, the MAC & Marcel Wander aesthetic is on par with the masterpieces.
