This year's Brightest Young Things' event — the Fancy Schmancy New Year's Eve Ball — is aptly named. It’s hosted at the beautiful former residence of the Spanish Ambassador, the perfect backdrop for your first pictures of 2013, and it's close to Columbia Heights, U Street, Mount Pleasant, and Adams Morgan, so you’ll have an easy (okay, easier) time getting a cab home. Come for the DJs, magicians, appetizers, and all the no-holds-barred quirkiness that comes with a BYT party. Admission includes full open bar all night, and the $95 tickets can be purchased here.
Clockwise from left: Styles For Less Staggered Stone Bangles, $10.99, available at Styles For Less; Tinley Road Nicolette Clutch, $75, available at Piperlime; French Connection Ozlem Sequin Maxi Dress, $328, available at French Connection; Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Cranberry, $23, available at Pret a Beaute; ASOS Turtle Peep Toe Shoe Boots With Metal Heels, $79.16, available at ASOS.
