Pie, Perfected: Your Go-To Guide To D.C.'s Most Delish Desserts

Shut Your Pie Hole
Now here's a pie shop with some history. The Copperthite family first started baking pies in Georgetown in 1885 as the Connecticut-Copperthite Pie Company, and now the original owners' great-great grandson is finalizing a lease in Georgetown to set up shop once more. The new operation, cheekily named Shut Your Pie Hole, debuted its world-famous blackberry pies at Taste of Georgetown in early June, selling out early (and quickly). If you can’t wait until fall, when the shop opens, check out the web site for limited catering and wholesale options.
