Sure, there have been loads of whispers circulating around Danny Bowien’s next move. Folks are chomping at the bit, wondering if he’s bringing Mission Chinese Food to Paris or perhaps even his hometown of Oklahoma City. But, the recent James Beard Award-winner gave Inside Scoop the, well, scoop on his near-future plans and they definitely don’t require a passport, or even a plane ticket. In fact, Bowien will continue to build his culinary dynasty right here in S.F. We like the
taste sound of that!
Despite being one of the busiest dudes on the food scene (he's also penning his first book, to be published by Anthony Bourdain), it's confirmed that a second restaurant is in the works, and no, it’s not going to be another Mission Chinese Food. In fact, the venture will be a non-Chinese eatery, but still focus on Asian grub. Bowien told Inside Scoop that the new "twin concept restaurant" will challenge people and be a place where diners and chefs alike will love to chow.
