Do you consider yourself a statement dresser?
"I think a quiet statement goes a much longer way–I don't think being the loudest person in the room makes you the most fashionable. I love the look of a simple but well-done design; to me, the quality is the statement."

Where would you wear this nautical-inspired look?
"I would wear this look to a meeting or market appointment. These Vintage Mugler sailor pants are from my mom's archives. A lot of my best pieces come from her. I love the silhouette, and I am a total sucker for a high waist. I paired it with a simple Petit Bateau striped tank, but decided to add these Elizabeth and James sunglasses to make the outfit more interesting. I walk everywhere, so although my heel-loving sister Arielle would kill me for saying it, I like this look worn with a white Superga sneaker—I don't think it gets more classic. As for the straw bag, it's a bit of an ode to Jane Birkin, she always had a wicker basket in hand, and when I spotted this one at the Syracuse Salvation Army I knew it would become a summer staple."
