Daily Diversion: Ties4Cops Serves Justice With Style

If changing a middle-aged man’s tie over and over doesn’t sound like the most fun you’ve had since your last tequila bender, you’re missing out big time. The people of France were offended by the ugly ties of the arresting officers accompanying Dominique Strauss-Kahn in recent news footage, and developed a web-based app to inspire more “stylish” attire: the Ties4Cops Project. Rather than settle for the unsightly Miami-shower-curtian-texture of the officers' neckwear persuasion, you can add some real pizazz to their outfits by clicking on the ties to change their design. Modifications (or should we say, intense doses of suave) include a Pegasus dancing across a purple starry sky, a pile of poo in a grassy lawn, computer hardware texture, kayak-ers, and even Disney princesses. But don’t stop there! You can submit new designs for them to add. If that doesn’t get the lunch break wheels turning, nothing will.
