What's the one piece of advice you WISH you had gotten before becoming a mom?
Judy: "Life is always unfolding before us — so really, no advice. It's true that we learn the most from our mistakes, so I wouldn't have wanted any different advice. My mother is a very practical person, and always gives good advice!"
If you could gift yourself a Mother's Day present, what would it be?
Judy: "I think I would like a day with my girls when Carol was 10 months old and Jane was almost 4 — that was a magical time. They were so precious! Just a day though!"
What are your favorite things to do together?
Jane: "We have fun doing boring everyday things...trips to Target, long lunches, hanging out in the kitchen, hitting Thrift Town, picking up magazines at Barnes & Noble. Something about the mundane seems to bring out the silly side of us and we always end up having a good time. The dogs are the happiest when we pile into bed with them and watch Bones or X-Files. I love when we go on family roadtrips to Tulsa and Austin. My mom is the best shopping partner in the world...we can't shop without each other!"
