What's the most surprising thing you've discovered about yourself since becoming a mother?
Judy: "I think the amount of patience I could have on different occasions. Carol had terrible colic as a baby and would cry at times for six hours straight — I never lost my composure, and could walk her for hours. That surprised me."
How has your style changed since you've had kids?
Judy: "When the girls were small, I think my sense of style went out the window. I was honestly happy if I could grab a T-shirt while shopping at the local Target. Now that the girls are older, I like to experiment a lot more, and have definitely gone back to my vintage roots. It really helps that both of my girls love fashion. I have some girlfriends with grown daughters who are not into fashion at all — they come over and hang out with Jane, Carol, and me."
What's the best advice you've ever gotten from your mother?
Jane: "My mom is a very effervescent spirit, she believes in living in the moment and appreciating the small things! You might not see this side of her from her blog, but she has a pretty far-out sense of humor. I have the most fun when I'm hanging out with my sister and my mom and our dogs. I realize how lucky I am to have that kind of relationship with them!"
