Just In Time For Summer: A New Place To Reach Your Fitness Goals

But with summer just weeks away (and weather that already feels like it), it's time to get serious about those fitness goals. If you have yet to join a gym — or yours is getting a little stale — there's a brand-new place in town that's guaranteed to give you all the motivation you need.

Located in the West Loop, CrossTown Fitness is a 3,000-square-foot facility boasting state-of-the-art equipment, customized personal-training programs, more than 50 high-intensity group interval training programs per week, and a variety of classes (taught by top-tier trainers) that range in difficulty to challenge both newbies and experts alike — and you don't need to worry about annoying wait lists!

If staying in is not your thing this time of the year, CrossTown has partnered up with North Avenue Beach Sports to host super-fun beach classes (for members and the public) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., weather permitting. Other exciting things in the works: cooking classes at the Chopping Block, stand-up paddle-boarding excursions, farmers' market tours, workout attire shopping, and more.

And because a gal's got to refuel after a serious sweat session, there's The Daily Feed, a smart café from the owners of The Fifty/50, Roots, and West Town Bakery. But forget bar food. Here, you'll find burritos, wraps, rice bowls, and breakfast items made with fresh, local, organic, and sustainable ingredients — mainly fiber-rich faves, slow-burning carbs, good fats, and lean proteins. After all, you wouldn't want to erase all of that hard work over a greasy burger, right?
