Cool Collab: Converse For Ace Hotel

Frankly, we're surprised this hasn't happened before: Converse has created a limited-edition shoe, the Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey, specifically for Ace Hotel. Available for pre-order today, and on sale officially on Friday, now you can look like the too-cool-for-school doormen—the new model draws inspiration from the only-for-Ace version of the iconic Chuck Taylors the staff rocks at the Ace Hotel New York. For the first collab, The Converse team has updated the sneaks and added a little more grit: The rugged boot design echoes the vintage wading shoes Converse created for the US military back in the '40s, with an olive drab upper, a spare look and feel, and, of course, ultra-durability. To really let you know you're rocking an Ace-approved version, the affirmation (found throughout all four Ace properties) "You Are Here," is scrawled across the inside sole. And don't think you'll spot these babies all around town—the run is limited to 300 pairs. For $100, with think the numbers look pretty good.
Ace Hotel New York, 20 West 29th Street (between 5th Avenue and Broadway); 212-679-2222.
