International Playground, Johnny Pizzolato and Virginia Craddock's Lower East Side-based New York boutique, is coming to Los Angeles tomorrow. Setting up shop at the old Mohawk General Store in L.A.'s Echo Park, this haven for independent designers is peppering their already-amazing stock with L.A. lines like Mary Meyer, Leila Shams, and Spratters and Jayne, plus loads of books, accessories, jewelry, and art and music from the likes of Sia, Apache Beats, and A.R.E. Weapons. They are offering booze from Bandit wine, Babycakes Bakery goodies, and a sweet 20% discount for everyone who comes out to fete the fashion depot, but we're giving you an extra reason to check it out. Just mention this article and you'll get a 25% off any purchase. If this isn't a good reason to head to this playground after dark, we don't know what is!
Thursday, August 12th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 1102 Mohawk Street (at West Sunset Boulevard); Echo Park; no phone.
