With These Miami-Made Frames, You Can Get (And Give) Good Face

Miami has a vision. Or, wait, Miami loves its vision, especially when the city's peepers are adorned in chic specs. Local designers Collins Bridge (we love the homage to the old school architecture that connected Miami to Miami Beach) is hoping to create some spectacles with their line of Miami-made frames with a cause. Not only are the sunglasses and readers affordable at a sensible and flat $98 a pair with prescriptions( or $168 for Rx sunglasses) but the sleek selection all has familiar names. We love the wayfarer-eque Deweys or the clear resin Lincolns, and are even more taken with their definite 305 shout-outs.

The local loyalty is fab and the glasses are stylin', but what really gives Collins Bridge an eyeopening appeal is their glasses recycling program. When a buyer receives his or her new sunnies, they can ship back an old pair in an included box — with or without lenses — to be refurbished by the trio at Collins Bridge. Then, your old and discarded sunglasses or specs (which, lets be honest, were just mouldering in your desk drawer) get sent to a family in need courtesy of not-for-profit Vision Health International. Hey, cute sunnies and reading glasses plus a guilt-free way to get rid of your old pair? Now that's a vision we can get behind. (Daily Candy)
