How do you usually choose what to pack before you go on tour?
"I try to keep my suitcase really streamlined, with multifunctional clothes that stick to a fairly simple color palette — mostly black and white. It's crucial that I bring pieces that are both comfortable for all those hours in the van. Silk is a workhorse in this capacity, as are well-cut sportswear and jumpsuits. Sometimes, I feel like being on the road for five years has just been training for some kind of 'perfect suitcase' competition in my future. But really, I know I'll end up accumulating stuff as I go, so starting simple is just insurance against overpacking."
