What inspired you to start making hats and jewelry?
"I think it all started with old family photos, and a love of working with my hands. I can remember being very small and seeing photos of my grandmother when she was a child in 1930s London, all dressed up for an afternoon out and always wearing a hat. Something about this always stuck with me. She was the epitome of polish, yet always relaxed and enjoying herself. Her first job was working for a milliner in London. It might be a sentimental attachment, but I have always loved the polished look a hat gives an outfit."
