Milk Chocolate Pots de Crème Eggs at Le Bernardin
"There is a reason why this is the first thing that popped into my head! These little bites are just heaven. Salty, sweet, carmely, custardy...the perfect way to end what is usually mostly a seafood-y dinner at Le Bernardin. It's a little hollowed-out egg with the top ever-so-carefully sliced off and filled with custard. I work my spoon around the edges until it's squeaky clean, the egg cracks and I realize I'm not some sort of animal. Le Bernardin is our 'special occasion' place....birthdays, anniversaries, date nights. Some nights they have this available (they bring it out between the end of your meal and your ordered dessert, a.k.a. IT'S FREE) and some nights they don't. I consider it good luck if they have it!" [Ed. note: We checked in with the restaurant about it's availability, and sadly had break the news to Chrissy that...it's gone for good. Guess we'll have to live vicariously through her dreamy egg experience!]
