Our Guide To Chicago's Chinatown: Get Ready To Ooh & Aww

Lao You Ju
Sure, Lao Sze Chuan is Tony Hu's signature Chinatown restaurant, but if you're looking for a little more ambiance — but equally delicious food — than the cafeteria-looking establishment in Chinatown Square, Lao You Ju, is your spot. The "Chinese tapas"-style menu is what separates Lao You Ju from the rest of Hu's establishments. Reasonably priced items ($4 to $6), such as cumin beef skewers, Tony's special vegetarian roll, and potstickers, offer something for everyone. Even more substantial entrées, like peapod shrimp and Hunan beef tenderloin, are only top $10.
