New Name, Same Store. The Edit Morphs Into Edith Hart

No need to panic, ladies, The Edit boutique in Bucktown isn't going anywhere, it's just getting a new name. Natalie Portman did it — so can a store. The official new title of this fashion destination is Edith Hart. Owner Morgan Gutterman chose the name of her style icon and grandmother for the store for obvious (adorable) reasons. What fueled the change was Gutterman's soon-to-be functioning e-commerce site (um, yay), and the fact that she loves her customers too much to let them get her boutique confused with any other. Thus, Edith Hart was born, and really, call it whatever you like, just give us the clothes.

Our Wish Came True: Rad + Refined Is Opening A New Location In Chi

refinery1(1)

You've done your damage at the pop-up shop, and now Rad and Refined is gracing Chicago with a full-fledged (and permanent!) showroom. That's right, all the California-cool designers you love (think For Love and Lemons, Opening Ceremony, and more) is opening an additional location in Chicago, starting June 1. The icing on the (fashion) cake is that the boutique's owner, celeb stylist Jacqueline Rezak, will be on hand to give personal styling consultations. We're looking forward to racking her brain on all things wardrobe, and hopefully some of her cutting-edge style will rub off on us. Expect to come away with an unreal summer wardrobe — edgy graphic tees, printed dresses, and too-cool jewelry — and a little less dough in your checking account.

This Classic-Cool Trunk Show Is Worth A Trip To The 'Burbs

How often have you purchased a to-die-for dress (or top, or coat, or...you get it), only to realize that, out of the dressing room light, it doesn't look as fabulous as you thought? Optimism can turn to defeat when you realize that your new trousers actually don't make your butt look great. Enter the fresh label Isoude, a line that truly gets it. Designer Kate Brierley specializes in working personally with clients, and in making sure that each piece in her collection truly fits and flatters each of her customers. She'll be stopping by Neapolitan Collection in Winnetka this week to preview her newest designs, and help you get the best bang for your buck, fit-wise. The best part? Every single one of Isoude's pieces are made in the good ol' US of A, and they're eco-friendly, natch. We asked Brierley what she was most excited to show Chicago shoppers, and as expected, she's got our tastes all figured out. "Women look to Isoude for various reasons, either they need that chic uniform piece that seems great for a million occasions, or some women just love to collect our special limited edition pieces. The process is really intimate, we take measurements, pick out made to order pieces together, and this is something we love to do." Still need convincing? Click through for a sneak peek at the designer's trunk show offerings.

When: Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Neapolitan Collection, 715 Elm Street (at Arbor Vitae Road); 847-441-7784.

Clean Out Your Closet And Consign Your Goodies At This Party In Evanston

crossroads If you've had a serious case of the splurges lately, chances are your closet space is feeling a wee bit tight. You could spend hours upon hours rearranging and organizing, but we're thinking that consignment is a much more pleasant solution. We know you have a ton of stuff just hanging there, never worn, tags on and all, so round it up and head to Crossroads Trading Company's Evanston outpost this Thursday.

They're throwing a party to celebrate you, the seller, and they've got tons of perks. Not only will you get cash in exchange for the items you bring in (cha-ching!), but they're giving away a $5 gift certificate for every $100 that customers sell. And, the first 100 sellers of the day will take home some goodie bag swag. We think it's the perfect time to let work know you had a "sudden" dentist appointment.

When: Thursday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 1730 Sherman Avenue (between Church and Clark streets); 847-492-9400.

We spotted six pieces we're stoked on at Roslyn, so click through (quickly), and get there before your favorite is snapped up.

Window Shopper: We're Totes In Love With This New Sir & Madame Bag

sir and madame carrier

Sir & Madame, the West Town boutique we love for men's, women's, and dare we say unisex clothing and accessories, just released a new bag design. The Leather Carrier is the latest release from this husband and wife design duo who never seem to hit anything less than a sartorial home run. The carryall, made in the USA of Horween leather, is available at Sir & Madame in very (very limited quantities. There's a cute back pocket, ensuring you'll have a better idea of where your CTA card is the next time you need it. We'd tote this along to any summer street fair or day at the park. We're thinking it's roomy (and chic) enough to be a great carry on bag, too. Okay, now we really want one. If you don't live in Chicago, never fear. Phone orders are happily accepted.

Sir & Madame Leather Carrier, $275, available at Sir & Madame, 938 North Damen Avenue (just North of Augusta); 773-327-7782.

This Jam-Packed Event Has Fitness, Food, & Fashion, In That Order

barre-bee-fit-main Are we the only ones that are starting to panic that summer is nearing? We're, like, nowhere near ready. No summer wardrobe, and don't even get us started on that "bikini bod" we promised ourselves we would have by now. Thankfully, it seems the mother-daughter trio behind Lincoln Park's Comfort Me Boutique has our interests in mind, and they're hosting a Sprint Into Spring event to help us out.

Next Sunday, they've put together a full afternoon lineup dedicated to helping us prepare for swimsuit season. First, they're hosting a special edition of the toning and cardio-intense Barre Bee Fit class at the studio's Lincoln Park location. They'll be following up the heart-pumping hour with a presentation from the Three Plaid Farmers on their super fresh (and super healthy) CSA veggie boxes. And, to top it all off, they're bringing the best of their summer merch to the studio, so you can refresh your wardrobe—while relaxing with wine from Poison Cup, natch. Sign up here before spots fill up—we think it sounds like the perfect way to kick start our spring diet, that we swear we're going to stick to.

When: Sunday, April 29, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Barre Bee Fit, 1962 North Clybourn Avenue (between North Racine and North Kenmore avenues); 773-348-2881.

Pillow-Pack Your Pad At This Feather-Filled Trunk Show

We've long believed that the easiest way to amp up a room is to, dare we say, rain pillows up in there. A few pops of color can turn your run-of-the-mill Ikea space into a page out of the Anthropologie catalogue. Luckily, local home-design company Pyar & Co. is giving us a sneak-peek at their new collection this Wednesday. Comfort Me Boutique will play host to the brand's trunk show, featuring pillows handmade in India. Design-lovers can browse the goods while sipping wine provided by The Poison Cup, and if you're feeling especially creative, you can even design your own couch accessories. We suggest you take advantage of the opportunity and give yourself a major apartment upgrade— we know you've been dying to host more Bachelor viewing parties.

When: Wednesday March 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Comfort Me, 651 West Armitage Avenue (between Howe and Orchard streets); 312-255-1412.
