What is your favorite ad of all time and why?
"As a kid I had a different opinion, but recently the Levi's Go Forth ad by John Hillcoat takes tops. It spoke to me on such a level that I had him direct my latest Gatorade spot."
What do you love most about this work environment?
"I love the people — the quirky, rebellious, weird, nerdy, eclectic punk-rock group of genius that makes up my colleagues! We are allowed, and are in fact, encouraged to be that way."
What's your funniest, most memorable, or inspiring TBWA/Chiat/Day story?
"My first year at Chiat, I had my latest work on the wall, and was immersed in something on my computer. I glanced up to see Lee Clow [founder] looking at it. I had never met the man, the legend. And there he was, staring at my insides. 'Nice work,' he said. I responded in an octave reserved for airplane tarmacs, and a crackle meant for pre-pubescents. 'Uuh…okay THAAAANKS!' I believe I have since redeemed myself."
What inspires you?
"Love, silence, rhythm, pattern, energy, strength, power, whisky, and adrenaline."
